There are a few criteria to consider in order to be successful in applying for an employment pass ("EP"):
1. Salary range: the starting salary requirement is S$4,500 per month and this scales based on your level of experience. Someone in his 40s will need to have double this salary.
2. Educational certification: MOM will consider your education certificate and ask for these certifications to be verified.
3. Financial standing of the company: For newly incorporated companies, given that there is no financial track record, we recommend that you set up the company with S$50,000 in paid-up capital to optimise your chance of success.

I don't qualify for an EP, can I apply for other types of work passes?
Sure, you may apply for S-Pass or other work passes, but you will not be able to be a director of the company as only EP holders are allowed to be directors.
