      What are the criteria for who can be a company secretary in Singapore

      A company secretary must be:

      • A natural person.
      • Locally resident in Singapore.
      • The sole director and the company secretary cannot be the same person as the director.
      • Someone well-versed with local regulations and compliance requirements and handles them for you while you focus on sprouting your business ideas.
      • The position of company secretary must not be left vacant for more than 6 months at any point in time.
